About this site

I like to try and fix stuff. I’m not a professional, so please don’t copy what I do as I may not be doing it just right. I purely publish content to show what I have done, and I often speak about my learnings along the way, both good and bad. So to cut a long story short, please don’t copy me – it might go “Bang” I don’t always fully know what I am doing – I am learning most of the time, you have been warned. You will see both my successes and failures within these pages, sometimes you just have to fail, to learn. That’s life.

I like to regularly blog my thoughts, feelings and views on day to day occurrences as well as on a whole range of subjects, including the content listed below.

Cameras & Photography

I have always been interested in Photography and had worked within that industry for many years. Mainly traditional old school, from the silver halide days. I also like to restore and remodel cheap vintage cameras.

Radio & Electronics

I like to “Tinker” in electronics and Radio. I took the last RAE exam in 2003 and hold a class one Amateur radio licence under the call sign M0ESB. On this site I try to fix and repurpose stuff. Not always successfully.

Arts & Crafts

I like to participate in art and crafts and have recently learned to paint in the “Bob Ross” style. I enjoy drawing and like to decorate old items i collect along the way. I also love gardening and building stuff from scratch.

Head of Security- Stand down mate your work is done.

Alf was our constant companion and Head of security. He unfortunately passed away on 16th August 2024, leaving broken hearts behind. He was an ageing Bichon Frise that we were fortunate to be gifted with for eleven wonderful years . He’ll pop up throughout this site. He’s a lovely boy. This is a little memorial gallery dedicated to him.
